The time for change in America is now. But that change can’t happen unless we make it happen—unless we vote tomorrow for the America we deserve.
I know just how hard union members are working during this election, because I’ve been out there with you. You’ve been hitting the streets. You’ve been knocking on doors, making phones calls, sending text messages, visiting workplaces. This is how a labor wave happens: One neighborhood at a time, one workplace at a time, union members like you are doing the work to build a better future.
You did it before. Working people have been winning at the ballot box across the country. In the past year alone, you beat an anti-worker bigot in Alabama. You elected a pro-union veteran to Congress in Pennsylvania. And in Missouri, with more than two-thirds of the vote, you sent “right to work” into the trash heap of history.
And you can make change again.
Tomorrow is Election Day. If you haven’t voted already, go to aflcio.org/plan.
Figure out exactly where and how you’re going to vote tomorrow. If you already voted, get your family to vote. If they’ve voted, talk to your co-workers and your friends. Knock on some more doors. Drive some people to the polls. Then go back out and do some more.
Tomorrow night, let’s finish strong. Let’s do the work so we can look back on the moment and know we did everything we could to change this country for the better.
And thank you for everything you do, every single day.
In Solidarity,
Rich
