Virginia AFL-CIO 2019 Labor Walks - (9/26/2019)
There
is renewed emphasis on fighting illegitimate employers and illegitimate labor
brokers who engage in worker misclassification, wage theft, and fail to provide
workers' compensation insurance, fail to pay unemployment insurance and evade
payroll taxes, or fail to comply with minimum wage and overtime laws. We are
standing up for legitimate employers who properly classify and compensate
employees.
Walks
continue at the locations listed on the flyer from this Saturday 9 a.m. - 12 noon and every
Saturday up until the Saturday before the Tuesday November 5, 2019 election. UA
Local 5 meets at the No. Va. Labor Office.
